Before you read any further make sure you have tried this already:
- Have the latest ModAPI
- Have the latest Forest version
- Have the latest UCM version
- Read the ModAPI FAQ
FAQ
The mod doesn't show up in ModAPI / "Error! An error occured while applying mods."
- Disable your Antivirus
- make sure the file (*.mod) is in *modapi folder*/mods/TheForest/
- Redownload the file with another browser (e.g. Chrome) - Firefox will NOT work
- do not tamper with the file (e.g. unzip it)

- read the first list again
- go to SteamApps\common\The Forest\Mods\ and delete the files UCM.default.settings and UCM.settings

- disable Invisible mode
It lags when the menu is open
- disable garden features

- some things are disabled as client or just don't work

- .mod is also a music file format. Just ignore it.
